This is a presentation about dangerous personalities. In particular, those who might commit workplace violence or targeted mass homicide.
The idea that an otherwise normal person could just “snap” one day and go on a killing spree and that such events are “random” – and hence impossible to anticipate – are fictions that lie at the core of a mechanism that, ironically, helps enable the very events we seek to forestall.
Violence, rather, is a process often as predictable and observable as boiling water, if you know what to look for. This course teaches you how to spot the “pre-incident indicators” that someone may be dangerous and heading down a dark path.
Everyone says “if you see something, say something.” This course teaches you what to look for and the simple 5-step approach to securing your workplace in the 21st Century.
Specifically, Sam will focus on:
- How to recognize potentially dangerous employees in your midst, and what to do about them
- How to better discern if someone who is making threats, in fact poses a threat.
- A simple, 5-step approach to securing your workplace in the 21st Century
